Sallie’s  work comes from her life long passion for animals and nature. Each piece is as individual as the animals she portrays, starting with the clay and glazes that she make from her own recipes to the creature itself which she hand builds over a number of days. The huge diversity of animals gives her an ever growing abundance of inspiration although she regularly returns to her own favourites the fox and the hare. In 1986 she moved to Wales to study Wildlife Illustration followed by two years of Ceramics by which time she had fallen in love with the wild Welsh hills. In 2002 she bought a tiny little cottage on a wooded hillside in Carmarthenshire which she loves.
