Cathy Wood studied graphics and illustration at Bath Academy of Art and then worked for several years as a freelance illustrator before turning to stone sculpture. Her work is inspired by natural forms and the human figure. She uses a variety of different types of stone such as her local Bath stone, Portland and alabaster. She shows her work in mixed exhibitions and sculpture gardens.
