Patricia Papps

Pat has lived in Wales since 2012 and is a member of several local creative textile groups. She has shown work in a number Welsh galleries, including a recent joint show at the Welsh Quilt Centre Lampeter.

 ‘I create pieces that employ overstitching and applique techniques to create both figurative and abstract pieces. I find inspiration in plants and flowers and forms and motifs taken from the landscape and everyday objects found in domestic settings. The layering of materials and intricate overstitching enables me to create detailed forms and intricate pattern work in my pieces.’
